As much as you know,i always combine a rest from reading with the a long period of reading.That is my style.
Tonight,i start watching Alexander that is an american film production which filmed in 2004.
I,being westernized-learned person myself knew this man since young.
I long heard that he almost conqured the world and i have not check or read about his conquest.
For this movie,i am not sure how authencity the story i am watching now was.
Let follow by this story.
This story really left my mouth open.
Many many years ago,our ancestor and people at that time were barbarian in their own mind state.Yes,they were.Bascially,they were all thinking of fighting for glory by fist means.There is no means of respect form until British EIC(East India Company) spread their high-class standard all over the world.
Oh yeah,let down to know about this Alexander.
He became king after his father was murdered but no one knew who was behind to this open and daylight murder.
He desired to conquer Persia who was the most powerful country in that period and all this country bribe Greece with gold.He detest the way Persia control/conquer the large portion of the country.He proved that he could do it by conquering Asia and then Greece and then Persia.
Women,gold and fame were all there avaiable for him.
He,too pure(WAY WAY TOO PURE) rejected them and let people whose king has fallen remain as per normal.That was why it was too pure that he never sold them to slavery which was standard procedure for all warlord.
He went on to march to other countries and kept on conquering with his ever-increasing-in-numbers army.
Since then the last stop was at some part of India.
At that period,his army was already worn and tired as they were away from their homeland for 7 years.
Alexander insisted that they should defeat them.
Eventually the enemy used elephants to attack them in the forest.
Alexander was stabbed there with his attempt to take the opposition king down.
His army,seeing upon him falling off his beloved horse went to fight more harder than they ever given on the first round.
They managed to bring Alexander back and he never died.
He was wounded and recalled his army back to Babylon.
His army was so happpy that they got the wish.
Since then it seem that he was gay and his gay partner died at Babylon.
His mind was at lost and eventually died.
Ever since Alexander died,whole countries who were under his empire went war against each other.
For me,i can say that Alexander was on 'extremely pure' side.
That was why he fell into this fate.
What i admire about him is that he went against the tradition that nobody expected.
What i pity about him is that he has lost his mind.
If you have the desire,i can say the desire you might stretch is unlimited.
You can never reach the finishing point if you keep on stretching your desire.
Once you got it,you should be contended with it.
The storyline is excellent but not so much action though.Overall,it was nice learning for me.
Looking down how Troy found its mighty defence that never lost for so many years in history went crumbling down just one unarmed Trojan Horse(a lot of soliders hiding inside).
I was really amused and understood how Trojan Horse came out with this kind of definition.A hint of it is an computer virus.
For this,i have two statements to conclude.
1)If you are looking upon this mighty and powerful history that you may never lose,it is the best thing not to get yourself supported by this history.
2)If the history show us how we suffered,using it,we must not repeat the same tragedy and improve for better.
With two statement,you can figure it out easily.
Looking at Qin Shihuang.
the man who became king by cruel means conquered China with his own life experience being as commoner at Zhao before he went back to Qin.He wanted to conquer China just to end the suffering.
Indeed,i admired for his purpose of conquering China but i pitied him that he couldn't just conqure people minds.
No matter how many people speak behind our back,we have to accept and be strong with it.That was where he failed even though he buried people and burned the books.
As you know,i really love reading this story of his life.That is how i am fan of chinese war classic.
Zhuge Liang probably the great military strategist who never used force.
Trying hard to fulfil his previous king,Liu Bei's wish to remove traitors out of House of Han,he died by overworking himself.
Alas,he shed tears saying that he can never go back to the battle ever again before he breathed the last.So much effort,he went to attack Wei 7 times and never succeed even though he was so close to the success.
Heaven placed Sima Yi to foil his plan each time.
It was fate.
I admired for his loyality and brain and pitied him not having his master's wish fulfiled.
Where can i find another Zhuge Liang again in this century!
History prevails.Learn from it and know what can cause you for this misery or downfall.Know your limit before you start doing something.
If it is really too big,it is the best to divide them into few pieces and then do each piece before you complete the real task.
If you are not satisfied with what you have accomplished/achieved,it is about the time to turn back and walk back looking around you.
