Finally, i took some time to revamp my blog as per promise which i allegedly post in last few blog entries ago. Let me explain why i did that.

Before i begin my explantion, i was saddled with DMS course, books, movies, dramas and others. I got 1 week break before i start degree course at September 10 2007. That is when i am seriously taking advantage of in order to revamp.

The process of revamp upon my consideration towards readers.
I wanted to centre the blog post enabling all the readers to see easily. Recalling dictionary search function is a reason why it will allow you to check its meaning when you encounter unfamiliar word. Definately, my writing style is under transition without losing the enjoyment of reading my blog entry. It is to enable me to write the well-constructed answer for UOL examination. It is quite good practise to do it from now on because i don't have to redo which mean taking a lot of time to do.
I decide to add moving gif picture to remind myself as well as yourself.
I did everything on my own without any aid of somebody's web page codes. I just learnt how to use layer which is new to me because using table will not let me to achieve what i want.

It is easy to lose friendship within the moment of unexpected event/situation. Similiarly, it is also appicable to love relationship as well. Many people have allowed one thing to change everything including the outcome. With that change, the result will be painful for them. That is why we must be steadfast no matter what happen. When someone did badly towards you, it is about time to lessen the closness between you and him/her. I remember how Zhen Wei treat whole class badly and at that point, it is right for the class to put some distance between him and them. I believe that he is still capable of doing that today bad-mouthing people behind your back. On top of that, he never made any effort to practise accounting especially some questions have been done over and over again with slight modification and he still ask me or Eugene how to do it. It is not so smart way to do it especially when you want to do well for this subject.

Last Saturday, i attend a free talk 'Personal Vocal Impact' in SIM. Patrick suggested me to attend this upon my discussion with him few weeks ago. Jessica Seet and Vernetta Loqez were doing fine explaining why we should be aware of our vocal image. I remembered when i saw Vernetta as a actress in 'Under One Roof' show few years ago back and now she aged. A stark contrast but still it is normal. Jessica is very confident lady with natural smile. Patrick know both of them and that is why Patrick's speech in lecturer lesson is excellent. If you happen not to understand, you are not doing enough homework. A homework consist of reading about it and then understanding it wholeheartedly.

Next blog entry will be about my opinion towards economy.

Opinion:
Another set of story which is not related to the part one movie. This movie will gather your heart in no time. As you watch this show, your heart ache. I think it will be showing in Singapore in few months time if it never screen in any local cinema

Invincible(Hollywood Movie 2006)
Synopsis:
From the producers of "The Rookie", this inspiring sports movie will star Mark Wahlberg as a Philadelphia Eagles fan who has just lost his wife and his teaching job. He decides one day to show up for an open tryout for his favorite NFL
team, only to see his wildest dreams come true.

Opinions:
I happened to check this movie out because it is one of hottest sport genre based films in the Amazon.com. Woah!No shit. It is really excellent piece of film where i love to see amateur who just turn into pro without any experience playing up against full of veterans and professional American Football players. Fantastic stuff!
Holly shit, the ending credit suggest that it is based on real-life story. I did a sniff on this by accessing wiki. It is really true despite of few inaccuracy. NICE!VINCE!VINCE!VINCE!

Vince Papale's future wife was fantastic one. I loved the way how she spoke history of her favourite American Football fan. I myself would be thrilled if i hear some girls telling me this kind of stuffs. Not the kind of 'oh, You know Beckham, right" but i want the stuffs like long long time thing such as Busby Babies, Liverpool conquest on Europe and England for 20 years and etc' That is where i can see in my future wife like that. That is why UK there has strong base for football. You can easily find a lot of women there screwing your ass with football talk. Oh i love that. Over here, Singapore, there is not much sport culture here. Very sad thing.

Rating:10/10
Bonsuses:1)Good directing stuff 2)Real life sport life of Vince Papale drag me right from start till end 3)It is great motivation thriller for anyone who need a try up against something big 4)main male lead acting as Vince Papale is quite good 5)You need me to say anything?Just get this show and watch it!

Facing The Giants (Hollywood Movie 2006)

He dares to challenge his players to believe God for the impossible on and off the field. When faced with unbelievable odds, the Eagles must step up to their greatest test of strength and courage. What transpires is a dynamic story of the fight between faith and fear. Facing the Giants is a powerful experience for the whole family inspiring viewers to live with faith, hope, and love!

Opinion:
Wow, yet another fantastic american football. That coach is using similar tactics and motivation i would do for my football team. I long time knew that religion faith has a lot of power to motivate and this movie itself proved my belief. He preached his christian religion to his American Football team.

Rating:8/10
Bonsus:1)Motivation stuff around Christian 2)Ohhh, i love commanding shouts during the training and the match 3)You will be motivated as well after watching

男兒本色(Nan er ben se)(Invisible Target)(Hong Kong Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
An armoured truck is secretly transporting $100 million for a US bank when it is hijacked by a band of robbers calling themselves the 'Ronin Gang'. The gang blows up the truck and makes off with all the cash. Three young detectives, led by Chan Chun (Nicholas Tse), are soon assigned to thwart another massive bank robbery organised by the Ronin Gang.

Opinions:
TNP was practically running a screaming headline saying "Invisible Target is Asian Die Hard 4.0". What do i think? Not even an inch although there are numerous of stunt acts. It seem that Nicholas Tse is taking heavy action role which it never been done before for him in any previous movies he had.

Hello readers! It took me 1 week and few hours to get out of the examination blue. Diploma in Management Studies in final stage, Semester 5 is extremely difficult time for me to struggle all 3 subjects. I find that 3 subjects i am studying right now are too specialised. Macroeconomics...Information Management Electronic Commerce and Business Law.. On good side, i learn a lot of interesting things that will affect your every day life. It brought me a lot of insights about all three subjects that allow me to apprehend the real world situation/things. On bad side, i developed a myopic making few mistakes learning Macroeconomics and Business Law in early stage but after all one week intense study on all 3 subjects before examination help me to realise where i went wrong.

Let me talk about school life and my thoughts towards class. Time do really change your mind and thoughts very fast. It is certainly to tell a person that you are still young man/woman if man/girl told you that he/she made the comments about something. In realistic, most comments they make do not reflect to the truth about something. Something can be your opinion about a person, a subject you learn or your own skill. That is why they are still young and only time will teach them where they did mistakes. Time is infinite space and extremely powerful to change you constantly from time to time especially when your thoughts and belief is not steadfast and full of mistakes. There is a saying many of you often hear from your own teachers..."There is a room for improvement". Certainly, you get a chance to realise the truth and reflect your mistake for greater good. If you are the one having such a smug at some one's doing/opinion believing that you can do better than someone, then you are YOUNG person! *wink* It is about the time for us to respect people and hear their opinions. With their viewpoint and your viewpoint, they get together in your mind and you develop a conclusion which is not very biased albeit fair one. It is the way we should do.

Let me talk about few classmates in DMS which i observe from Semester 1 to Semester 5.
Stephen..Although he may come from China, what i see in him is aura of confidence. He spoke confidently in english with no worries about his standard. I remember that day when he, Benny(From China), Jason (From Vietnam), Daniel Tan (POA lecturer) were talking as i sat and listened. Benny spoke broken english in result of his lack of confidence about his own english language handling. Daniel Tan encouraged him to practise and learn how to speak properly english. On the other hand, Stephen spoke at ease. If you don't believe, all you need is to pop some questions in english and see how many people from China can answer you prompt in english without pause at each interval. I get few occassion to chat with him but there is not much to know about. I believe that he has more 'cards' hidding in his chest and he haven't display in front of me. To see his 'cards', i have to spend more time to talk with him. Only card i saw is his aura of confidence. I don't even know what he do in order to win Wang Wen's heart. It was so quiet and precise affair. Within a blink of your eye, they are already close by Semester 2. To do this, you need aura of confidence in your own handling on such matters.

Wang Wen.. Hmm..She know how to execute things what she learnt. Especially her IT skill that she learnt before. Certainly, she got some etiquette when talking one-to-one with you. That is what many Singaporeans lack. Singaporeans are so quick shooting their mouths at any possible weakness they can find. Singaporeans' favourite attack "har, it is not nice la and you change the sentence la". Whatever it is and i believe you especially Singapore readers would agree with this one. I think there are a few more quality in her. I thought about what Cherlyn said and maybe time will prove what Wang Wen is like in the first place. Let time transform your thought towards her each time you see or talk with her.

Ruo Nan..Wow, she is workhorse. Galloping all the way despite of her mediocre grammer. DMS is relatively easier than UOL. I wonder if she can suvive answering real-time answers during UOL examination. DMS examination questions are not really real-time and doesn't put you in trance for a long time. The hard part about DMS is short duration course making studying tough for anyone who want to relax. Sometimes hard work is not enough when you are facing up against extremely tough situations.
Just give any job and she will glide through in time by the deadline you set. Boss/CEO will want her because of her attitude and work handling. Definately!

Lance...He can talk a lot despite of his language. Best part about him is no air and 'let do it' attitude. That is what CEO need when CEO need someone to do the job task that no one has ever done. Whatever he tells to lecturer, it can be funny but he shrugs it off and then learn faster than you guys. There are shortcoming he have but time will help him to improve his shortcoming in no time. He has a lot of faith in me and he knows what i can do. He has good 'eyesight'. I wonder how he gotta fare in UOL course together with Benny and Ruo Nan since they are studying the same course but one out of 4 subjects is different from Benny. Ruo Nan is learning Marketing together with him. He told me that he love marketing. I can see that he is going to take after his father who work in electronic retail business. I think he can suceed in marketing arena.

Jason..From Cambodia to Vietnam and going to emigrate to Australia? He make a good friend. He is someone who you can talk anything under the sun. His academic is very average but his quality can be seen. He will definately go with you through thick and thin.

Quoc Dung..His biggest barrier is his english language but tries hard enough to understand. Too bad he always do short cut. Just skip reading all the words on course note and he only want keywords to study for exam. That is bad habit in my opinion. He will do well when working in Vietnam where he has no problem communicating in his language.

David... An Indonesia dude. He is fantastic guy who is willing to learn. No matter how bad/weak he is in his subject, he still lend his hand and try to solve the problem together with you. Very very good quality! We should learn from him. He greet anyone and his character somewhat indirectly bond everyone in the class together.

Timothy...Indian singaporean is very friendly guy. One time i saw him driving a black mini car. From what i hear that he is studying and working at the same time, i guess it is not easy to pay car installment if he really bought the car with his own money. I never asked him about it. He can make you feel 'yoyo' thing.

Albert..Mynamar guy..At first, he gave me an impression of him being easy-going guy struggling for grades. But it never been the case. He told me himself about his grades and i was surprised. Good thing that he is very friendly and is willing to study hard. I once saw him studying outside the lecturer room when i was having night class few months ago.

Vishal...Indian Singaporean but his family is living in India and having family business up there. He got some kind of midas thing enabling to get people to discuss in the meeting. One of essential requirements for a businessman to have but the question is whether he can get past his shortcoming. If he really can, he can do good business for his father.

Suliana.. i already mention about her before. Same opinion as ever.

Daniel Tan...POA lecturer who brighten up the class with his sensible jokes. You will feel like as if you can talk anything under the sun with him. He also extend his time to teach students. He is very committed lecturer.

James... I am fortunated to be taught by him for Business Finance. Extremely tough guy which mean he is totally resilient against the most difficult life where anyone will give up any time.

Patrick....New Zealander lecturer..He is another fantastic lecturer making use all technologies to enhance the lesson experience for all of us. He is very punctual guy making all possible lecturing avenues to earn money. I think he has a lot of jobs to fulfill by teaching people comprising managers,CEO and goes on. Best of all, he doesn't own car! No wonder he is damn fit.

Multinational class environment is quite wonderful because you get to hear unusual things. These unusual things can make you laugh because they seem jokes to you.

Adapted from Park Yi Kwon's manhwa, "War of Money"

Opinion:
Totally different storyline from the original ones. So far, bonus round(4 episodes) are quite nice and fabulous. I learnt from it a lot. Indeed Money can't buy relationship bond(let it be friends, boy-girl, husband-wife) and only adversity prevail and strength the bond between them.

Rating:7/10
Bonuses:1)Park Shin Yang, acting as Geum Na Ra is top-class actor in this show 2)moral story that your kindness will be repaid back.

Opinions:
Wow, i was blown from start to end with my home theater shaking my room.Especially the sound effect of sand. For story-wise, it is pretty good for a superhero movie. Simply to say, spiderman is one of the best superhero movies that never disappoint you at all(not counting die-hard spiderman fans who love it ever since comics)

Rating: 8/10
Bonsus: 1)Excellent sound effect 2)Excellent ending 3)Nice fight between 4 superheroes in action

Book Title:Alchemy Of Finance
Author(s): George Soros and Paul A. Volcker

Opinion: Wow, it is all about Soros' opinion written in diary style supported with graphs. To read this book, you need some considerable amount of economics knowledge especially Macroeconomics part. He talked a lot about money market and government spending. How they gotta simulate the currency market aka Forex.
I wish that he should have written more about his adventure where he crash British's Currency and how he play his part towards Asian Financial Crisis 1997.

Ratng:7/10
Bonuses:1)quite insightful to know about his opinion 2)he give you bigger picture about money lending by banks

There is so much happening within a week rendering me to reflect myself for a while before i blog here today. Indeed, it is better do wrong things before the real 'test' arrive to the day. This way we can learn from those mistakes and arise ourselves in the real 'test'. No shame at all! Only idoits prefer to attempt doing the right things where they don't get any chance to learn and improve themselves.
Not willing to try something out will result in no room for improvement. If the mistake is costly, it is great lesson for your experience. This way you might even learn from it or develop safe-from-fail strategy for yourself in future!

Nowdays young ladies especially your female classmates like to appear with shoddy appearance and then suddenly fantastic appearance in the next day and then suddenly out-of-place fashion appearance. It goes on! Never-ending thing. At few times, i was in awe at her taste of dressing but then other times, it deflate your opinion of her taste of dressing. I feel that the fashion in Singapore is not in serious demand. Just look at Korean girls and you will know what i mean. Unique taste of dressing and yet consistent!
*I don't mean that there is a must to wear nice nice one. Just be consistent with your choice of dressing.
*slap forehead*

I liked Shigeno Goro a lot beacuse he never ceased pitching straight ball.
His straight ball skill develop until it reach highest level stage which is known as Gyro ball. What is more that he never bother to learn other pitching skills when necessary. Similar to what Roy Keane as manager told his first-eleven, Goro said to Tashiro who tried his best to hit the ball to reduce the deficit point during when his team is in trouble against best baseball school team, Kaido ,"if we were to hang our head now, we wouldn't be able to see angels in the sky, would we?"
I love his guts, absolute belief, determination and willingness to do tough things that nobody bother to do.
I just want to be similar to him but not in the baseball game however a sort of financial arena

In Kuitan 2(review below),Kyoko left for Paris, Kuitan and Ryosuke were left staving with inability to cook. Out of blue in episode 11, Kuitan decide to prepare farewell meal for his partners.
Ryosuke asked ,"If you can, why didn't you cook while Kyoko-chan was in France?"
Kuitan answered ,"Someone with true ability doesn't need to show off"
I likw rhia onw. Indeed, there is no need to show your ability to the world. I like doing my own ability secretly where no one knew what i am exactly doing. Doing singing or acting for living is fine but doing something amazing that attract people attention, thus causing attracting media's attention is not so wise. Good example will be some football players especially C.Ronaldo who tried to attempt beautiful dribble but alse, his dribble plot failed as he slipped!
Excellent footballer don't do fancy dribbling skills all the time. Just look at Maradona and he just display simple dribbling skils and yet he tore past defence with no difficulty.

This story about a detective who has a huge appetite is adapted from a manga by Terasawa Daisuke and will be Higashiyama' first drama in 4 years.

Opinion:
Not much difference from part 1, it is just continued due to much fanfare for this show community. I liked a statement from last episode.

One fine morning, i was on the way to school in the bus. It is when the lady in mid 40s sat next to me asking me what the book i am reading. The book i am reading is The Alchemy of Finance. She questioned about the book which i suspect that she look at the chapter title regarding stock exchange. It seem that she want to earn some money. I bade farewell to her as i go out of the bus. What a day! I will be writing this book review in the next blog entry. Right now there are about 50 pages left to be read for now.

Junbin got his money back and people still owe him $31k.*shake head* Yuan Xiang interest has shift towards to visiting pubs. He even show me a video from his new sparkling N95 mobile phone. He even told me that the thai female singer there is great especially her boobs. I recognised that youngsters are gradually want to have fast, tempting and exciting lifestyle. That is why i left this lifestyle few years old back in order to organise my life to be prepared retirement nest. If you spend too much time in this kind of lifestyle, you probably struggle badly when you reach retirement age with insufficient saving provided that you have poor financial planning. My advise to youngsters is to give up this kind of lifestyle and start trading to simple lifestyle that make you more happier than before. Going to disco or pub once a while is fine but going there too often is bad.

Next topic will be interesting one especially for Ong Wei Li who is pursuing NTU's EEE.

I will write a few edited quotes upon my finding when spending my time to understand investment. After the quote, you see my hypothesis on engineering path.

Person A respond to Person B
"If not for my love in Engineering and IT, I would have left this industry long ago. It is not only my love in this industry. It is because of the training that I have received. You see, we are not like 'A' Level grads who spent maybe 4 years in Engineering studies. We have spent a total of 3+3=6 years (i.e. 3 years in Poly, another 3 years in local university) to study for an Engineering degree. It will be a pity to give up just like that.

Since you had been through the Poly route, you would have appreciated how hard it is for a poly grad to get into a local university and getting a Honours Degree at the end of it. Not forgetting the NS that we served in between.

And I really value my Engineering degree very much because of the above. Yes, things might look bleak at this moment for Engineers. In face of lower cost centres overseas, and the influx of foreign talents, things had not been better for the past few years. In fact, I felt that it will get worse further down the road. But I will strive on and see how it goes.

As for planning a career switch, I don't think so at this moment. But I will continue to do my DIY investment, just in case I lose my job. At least my investments can tide me through if I got retrenched again.

PS: I had been retrenched in my first job after university, and so I know how to handle it if it comes again"

Person B return his opinion.
"Yes, engineers like us who went through the Poly route have sunk in more "investments" into our engineering education. Although it feels like a pity to give up just like that, my experiences in the stock market has somewhat changed that opinion.

Ideally, an investor should be quick to admit his mistake if new facts and changed circumstances point that his previous investment was a bad mistake. He should be quick to cut his losses, even if it means losing a lot of $$$ in a massive position.

The fate of middle-aged engineers seems to suggest that your fears and mine are not unfounded. Should we "cut our losses"? I am around your age. Age is still on our side. It does not make sense to cut loss while the going is still good, even though the future may be bleak.

Since both of us love engineering, do we really have to give it up after a career switch? I have actually thought of getting involved in some open-source project if I could afford to retire early. That way, I can do what I like and not give up engineering.

Successful investors/traders take more money out from society than they deserve in proportion to the contribution they make to society. The reverse is true for engineers. Every year, engineers have churned out products (mainly in electronics, computer industry) that are cheaper and better. Technology from successful engineers has allowed the masses to lower their cost of living while at the same time raised their standard of living.

While I sing the praises of my profession, I do not want to be hypocritical. If I had a choice, I would rather be an overcompensated, underworked successful investor than an undercompensated, overworked successful engineer"

Person A offers how he feel about engineering industry
"When I first chose to study Engineering, compensation was never an issue to me. It was purely because of my love in Mathematics, programming stuff and Electronics.

I remember I spent long hours doing my projects during my poly and university days. "Camping in" amazingly cold CAD/CAM lab doing PCB Board design till wee hours of the night, Troubleshooting faulty PCB boards for the whole day, debugging assembly language, C/C++ programs until forget to eat meals etc.

I enjoy doing these stuff, though the compensation was not great. In fact, I spent more time doing projects than studying for exams because I simply enjoy doing them. Nevermind if they are only 1 AUs. I would still spent time doing these projects. The satisfaction derived at the end of the project when you see things work could not be described in words. I simply enjoy doing those stuff.

But when I came out to society to work, somehow things had changed. I began to feel that being passionate in Engineering is not enough. Compensation becomes an issue because there are bills to pay. Passion in projects faded because management keeps on changing directions. One fine day, they decided to sell the product to another company. Another fine day, they decided to relocate the R&D centre. Another day, they decided to "end of life" the product etc. We become "victims" of corporate actions. We are viewed as a "cost centre" and becomes a commoditity. Projects that were undertaken are those that can contribute "business value" to the company. I no longer enjoy spending long hours doing my projects.

Yes, the passion in Engineering is still there, but it is no longer the passion that I had a few years back. My first retrenchment served as a signal for me to do something in order to survive. I've decided to do my own DIY Investment and I had never looked back since.

Nowadays, it is just doing my projects because I need to complete them within the deadline. No more striving for perfection. I wonder how long I can sustain in this mode of operation.

Anyway, I don't felt insecure if I lose my job because I have found a new passion in a form of finance and investment. And in a capitalist society like S'pore, you have no choice but to protect yourself.

I hope that you also found investment useful and necessary to protect yourself from this capitalist society."

Person C offer his own view as well.
"I worked for 10 years as an engineer. I also gained experience and knowledge that I believe I possess which is unique. There is probably only 2 persons in Singapore that had my knowlege & I was one of them. Yet it didn't translate to higher position nor in salary. I looked around in other companies and guess what? Those in top engineering positions and management were occupied by non-locals. Then there are stories in newspaper where older folks having retrenched couldn't find any job because of age discrmination. This even happens to those who have got the job experience.

As a side note, unless you are a member of the Professional Engineering board, you are NOT a professional engineer. Thus an R&D Engineer, Test Engineer, Network Engineer, IT Engineer, Form Factor Engineer etc are NOT professional engineers. The impact of not being a professional engineer implies that any tom, dick and harry can do the job as long as the company is satisfied that they can deliver. During my university days, my dad warned me about this when I selected modules related to topics that will result in me going on the path of a non-professional engineers. I didn't listen to him. It take me 10 years to realize the mistake that I did."

This quote occurs when a daughter father ask this man(Person A)
"If your daughter's interest is in Engineering, then she should go for it. I have no regrets choosing Engineering because that is where my interest lies in the first place. But of course, interest and real world is a different thing altogether. Anyway, sometimes it is hard for a 18 year old to know what her interests lies in. Maybe she should seriously ask herself what is her real interest and not just simply choose a course because it is "popular" and more "prestigious".

Nowadays, local university courses are more flexible than last time. What I can advice your daughter if she did choose Engineering is to do a minor. Maybe a minor in Business, in addition to a Engineering degree. In this way, she can open herself to more options when she graduated.

Anyway, I had found out that having an Engineering degree alone is not enough. In this capitalist society, you do need some business, finance and even some basic law knowledge in order to survive.

And yes, be prepared to slog it all out with an Engineering degree. As I've said, if one have the interest, it is still sustainable. Also, if she don't mind the pay. Engineers are certainly not one of the highest paying job around. In terms of hours committed, it is certainly one of the highest.

This year will be my 8th year in the industry. As I've said before, interest will be sustainable in the long run. Going for money will not.

And of course, there are various fields in Engineering. So, if you are interested to know more about Electrical and Electronic Engineering in NTU, I can give you advice because I had been through it."

Person B support Person A's view.
"I read it with great interest and was surprised at what I share with you in common - graduated from Poly with same diploma, graduated from NTU (B.Eng(EEE)(Hons)) and sharing a bleak future of our profession while having a love for engineering.

It was very wise of you to have started investing early to strive for early retirement in anticipation of the "forced" retirement. Once an engineer gets retrenched in his 40s and is not willing to downgrade his salary, he is forced into retirement.

I also respect the courage of another "comrade" Wilfred Ling(Person C) to switch career to an IFA. I wish him every success in his new endeavour.

Our engineering knowledge depreciates quickly. With ever-shortening product lifecycles, the rate of depreciation has accelerated in recent years. It is wise to equip ourselves with investing knowledge that are longer-lasting."

End of the quotes. I formulate my hypothesis(more or less accurate but it will stand on realistic side) on it is that Singapore government is not spending money to reinforce the focus in engineering industry hence although there is engineering jobs but the future is so bleak. That is why there are large percentage of engineers jumping to finance industry. Each time a stranger post for a help about the advise to study finance mba course and the veteran person will say ,"Oh well, there is another person asking for the same advice. you are 4xxxth person to ask this advice." It show that based on my research on the country you are better off having engineering job in US or European country particularly Germany. Over there the future is pretty good.

Zhongming's colleague reject this claim when Zhongming told my opinion. It show that people like him like to contradict the fact especially when they don't realise it.
Here is the evidence to support. click here. Look at SMU's admission statistics for Master in Applied Finance. Bloody hell! A large percentage of people who are jumping to financial industry is enough to dumbfold him with this fact taking its place in Singapore. People have to accept the fact rather than live the dream just like the local movie i saw last month.

Congrat to Person A and he earn my respect by recognising the bleak future of engineering job in Singapore and he start learning how to invest at age of 30+. On top of that he has no financial knowledge or background to begin with. He have few years experience without joining any master course or any professional seminar.
Ong Wei Li once told me that i will see him in the paper. A person being interviewed for a paper doesn't mean you are successful. A successful person can quickly become unsuccessful in no time.

My parting shot to people who are too stubborn not to accept this fact is that it is about the time to realise and accept the fact. There is no need to jump to financial industry at once. All they especially IT people as well need to develop financial planning for their retirement nest. Like what i said to numerous people, there is no place for mercy in your life as well as this world.

I suspect the reason why the future for engineering industry is so bleak is that Singapore companies in this sector forever make things that are already done in other advanced 1st world country. The cloest thing is Trek but miserably fail to secure the pie of market share by failing to file patent worldwide for thumbdrive. In my opinion, to be successful, you need to be very innovative as much as Thomas Edison or albert einstein. That was why America quickly shot to no 1 powerful nation because of numerous scentists and engineers introducing igenious things that will be useful for our mankind today. Similiarly, Japan has similiar pattern like America but it is one of the richest and powerful nation in the world with unique electronic products. South Korea is one of them as well. Their governments simply invest and support the engineering industry.

Singapore is more into service industry and i think the success also lie in service industry. What a pity for ambitious people who enrol engineering and IT courses. IT sector is picking up considerably well especially the introduction of islandwide wi-fi network which is free to use within Singapore for 3 years and Lucas here. There is gradually shift towards entertainment service industry. Watch out for the emergencing MICE industry It is really short thought i have come up with. When i get older, you will be seeing longer thesis on Singapore economy based on my view.

I welcome any arguement to bring up this point as i am still eager to improve this hypothesis. At the same time that is why i am consistently learning all the time to update my knowledge towards the year go on. The ones who stop learning will be leading normal life but will be affected by numerous factors. I am more interested to live a simple life that are not affected by numerous factors as my knowledge i will acquire in future will make those factors only affect people who stop learning.
The corporate ladder is very tall and difficult. I will be successful person without appearing in the media and nobody know what i am doing. That is what i like to do if i never start my own business. Should i start my own business when i spot a opportunity just like the man who create Amazon.com, i will be as humble millionaire doing no fame. You will not see me doing like Donald Trump. Forever low profile sharing ideas and hypothesis to the world. That is my ideal one depending the type of the life i will take in the future. Definately financial planning and investment will be my biggest asset once i acquire them through degree, CFA, master degree and more professional courses.

Fantastic Four:The Rise of Silver Surfer(Hollywood Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
With Von Doom back in his homeland of Latveria the fantastic four have new troubles when Galactus has decided that Earth is his next target. When his henchman, The Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd), is sent to Earth he discovers that he's getting more than he bargained for when he encounters the Fantastic Four. But that's not all when Dr. Doom decides that after two years in the homeland he is ready to return

Opinions:
The story is surprisngly emotional one but once again very normal superhero. I can only think of Spiderman 1 and 2(i have not seen part yet 3) an edge over a lot of superhero franchise movies out there.

Rating:5/10

28 Weeks Later(Hollywood Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
The film starts six months after the Rage virus has spread throughout the city of London. The United States Army has restored order and is repopulating the quarantined city, when a carrier of the Rage virus enters London and unknowingly re-ignites the spread of the deadly infection, wreaking havoc on the entire population.

Opinion:
It is my first time seeing this movie without realising that there is earlier movie called 28 days later filmed in 2002. Apparently, 28 weeks later is the second installation. It is excellent movie and it illustrate how scary the virus is. People are speculating whether there will be the third installment movie which is probably be named as 28 Months later? HAHA.

I can see why Arthur told me that it is fittest of survival where your body is totally immune to deadly virus otherwise your friends and your family will be trapped. From what i see, i feel that what my mother's insistence on washing hands first before eating is good precaution in order to reduce virus infection. I think it is no joke matter. And you guys should do the same. It is not FUN at all. All of you must be thinking ,"Aiya, it is just movie.". If you think so, it suit you. Should it happen to you? You will be in despair in no time. Don't forget about SARS.
Start learning how to wash your hands properly. Don't be lazy and don't ever try to give stupid excuse.

If it happen, i will be shooting down my family and friends to exterminate the virus infection. It is for sure and i will shoot down those who try to disturb the peace with much ignorance of danger. After all, i am very religious to military being myself exposed to military text.
When this kind of scenario happen,i will do:
>Any disturbance, i will shoot you down to silence and proceed the safety mission.
>One joke coming out of your mouth, i will not give you any mercy and will shoot you down as well.
>If you do any rash act, i will shoot you down. There is no way to abandon otherwise he/she will follow distrubing the co-ordination for safety procedure.
>i will aid people who are calm and serious to listen my instruction to get out of danger zone.

Sigh, you need to know that there is no room for mercy for this kind of situation. Leave your GOD whatever you are christian or muslim or anything else outside. GOD WILL NOT SAVE YOU AT ALL.

Rating:7/10
Bonus:1)well-directed horror and sci-fi movie 2)i can't see any flaws at all. Too perfect and this movie will keep you gripped all the time

The Go Master(China/Japanese Movie 2006)
Synopsis:
A Chinese man becomes an expert player of the traditional game of Go.

Opinions:
Ever since i watched Hikaru No Go animation, i make my point to watch this movie ecause of Go game. The story is pretty static but i like the final ending to sum up.
Indeed when you get old, you will lose the ability of doing something. It is very applicable to Philips Fisher who has lost his direction to invest in stock market. Warren Buffett is still ongoing doing the business as well as doing foreign investment.

Rating:5/10

Zodiac(Hollywood Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
A serial killer in the San Francisco Bay Area taunts police with his letters and cryptic messages. We follow the investigators and reporters in this lightly fictionalized account of the true 1970's case as they search for the murderer, becoming obsessed with the case. Based on Robert Graysmith's book, the movie's focus is the lives and careers of the detectives and newspaper people.

Opinions:
Woah, it is one of the best crime thriller movies i ever seen. It is prime example why long justice despite of long arm will not catch sophisicated criminals. David Fincher is unbelieveably excellent director. I was glued to this show awaiting for the ending but the ending never came. It is not like abrupt or sudden but neatly concluded!

Rating:8/10
Bousus:1)Even i tried to run the search on this movie whether it is based on true film or not, in the end i still can't figure 2)Well film chronography 3)storyline is so excellent that you don't have to shift your back onto the seat all the time

Ocean Thirteen(Hollywood Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
The last time we saw Danny Ocean's crew, they were paying back ruthless casino mogul Terry Benedict after stealing millions from him. However, it's been a while since they've come back together, which is all about to change. When one of their own, Reuben Tishkoff builds a hotel with known casino owner Willy Banks, the last thing he ever wanted was to get cut out of the deal personally by the loathsome Banks. Banks' attitude even goes so far as to finding the amusement in Tishkoff's misfortune when the double crossing lands Reuben in the hospital because of a heart attack. However, Danny and his crew won't stand for Banks and what he's done to a friend. Uniting with their old enemy Benedict, who himself has a vendetta against Banks, the crew is out to pull off a major plan. One that will unfold on the night Banks' newest hot spot opens up, when the crew is out to bankrupt one of the city's most despised businessmen. But they're not in this for the money, but for the revenge.

Opinions:
The third installment didn't disappoint to a lot of fans who simply loved Ocean Eleven. Ocean Twelve is indeed a let down with a standard below from its first installment. Two sexy women spotting short-hair hairstyle caught my attention and they are really unique in their own way. Not too bad.

Rating:8/10
Bonsuses: 1)Superb action plot 2)showing off all high-tech stuffs 3)all the lead actors were acting superbly. Way COOL!

Nana 2(Japanese Movie 2007)
Synopsis:
Nana Komatsu is pregnant with her first child, but Nana Oosaki seems to be stroke by it, since it is not the child of her friend Nobu, but of TRAPNEST's bassist Takumi. Both girls struggle through life, and try to keep their friendship from falling apart. More information on the story at NANA.

Opinions:
A sequal to Nana and i wonder how good it is. So far, it is decent movie with a lot of emotion involved. I can understand those movie characters feel because i used to be in the same shoes before. Similiarily, when Blast band did the first debut mini street concert, i reminded me how proud Nicholas Tse perform his first single concert(VIVA LIVE) held in Hong Kong concert stadium at his young age. Nicholas sang 22 songs with all his meight, emotion and soul. The other Nana is torn. I believe that this kind scenario can be happening to anyone. One small or big change can really bring a lot of impact to your relationship. Either you adapt the chance with much tolerance or asked for break up. What a sad testimonial test on your power of love.

Consider it when a boyfriend buy a lot of gifts(branded bag, above $10-per-bill resturants and goes on) to a girl without her request, when the time arrive. The day where they have to work for their own. The heretic work schedule put them into the test until boyfriend get to his nerves because of his hard-earned money getting from his job rather than getting money from his parents at his young age. It will be the day the gifts from boyfriend end. What do you do? It is for girls to figure it out.

That is why security is big issue for many women. And so, don't get married youung if he has not secured anything in his life. For men, you also don't get married young as well otherwise you will be nagging by your wife before you established yourself in work environment but if you can't withstand, your dream establishment will fall apart in no time. It is easy to say 'LET DIVORCE' and it is difficult to say 'i will try my best and let live together' when there are too much strain the relationship.

That is why both Nana cleverly chose the right way keeping in touch each other. I say it is really smart one. It is foolish to throw friendship at once because it is not easy to meet someone extraordinarily to you for your lifetime.

Rating:6/10
Bonus:Meaningful story..

Somehow i was surprised that the last blog entry dated 31 July 2007 wasn't shown and i managed to get it available for viewing today before i start doing current blog entry.

This week, i learn something new. I striked an interesting conversation with Patrick. He gave me his profile that make me inspiried to do something for my future.
I never knew that he has finance and marketing qualification because he teach information management electronic commerce!

I think i am set to study CFA and then study MBA program at Insead after completing UOL course. For CFA, my reason to study is to educate myself with all technical analysis stuff. Insead is one of top 20 MBA universities in the world that is well-received by many europe-based financial institutions. It is a french university that has facilities in France and Singapore. The requirement to enrol Insead caught my attention the most. One/two essay, one or few interview, one or two languages(other than english), GMAT result are the requirement i have to meet. Beside that, i hear that classmates in Insead are likely working as CEO,president, vice president and senior management positions. I want to see how they think, behave and perform in class. There are a lot of benefit if i were to apply Insead MBA program.
Benefits are 1)motivation to learn two langauges that will be essential for me to travel and live in foreign countries, 2)insights how big wigs do in class, 3)superb network by making friends and knowing them.

If i have chance to study any univesities at my will, my choice is(ranking in order)
1)Columbia Business School (US)
2)London School of Economics (UK)
3)Harvard Business School (US)
3)Insead(France/Singapore)
4)University of Pennsylvania: Wharton(US)

In secondary school, the rumour and gossips spread within school. In real world or working world, it spread all over the singapore or if you are famous enough, it will also spread to other countries as well. You should start behaving and think how you want to do something for Singapore and probably world.

Tse Ting Fung
*Congrats, a male baby is born!*

Although his wife Cecilia Chung is about to give birth, Nicholas Tse is still working overseas. Yesterday at an activity in Shanghai, his tongue slipped and revealed that Cecilia was admitted into hospital as she was having high fever. However, he denied this matter when he returned to Hong Kong last night. on.cc had fully reported the footage of him revealing that his wife was admitted into hospital in Shanghai but now Nicholas is contradicting himself, making everyone confused.

Yesterday at 2 pm, Nicholas Tse and Louis Koo attended an activity for a spectacle brand they were endorsing. He expressed that he would be designing spectacles for the brand, and will give his first design to his father.

When talking about his going-to-born baby, Nicholas was clearly very excited. He expressed that he has not chosen a name for his baby yet. When asked if he would take a family portrait yearly and share it with his fans publicly like Fourth Brother (Patrick Tse), he emphasized that at that time he was still young and had no right to make any decisions, but now he would definitely not do that. He said,” Actually, I was under a lot of pressure when I first joined the entertainment industry. The baby, being the child of Cecilia and I, will be under even greater pressure!” No wonder he had rejected an offer for his family of three to film an advertisement even though the fee was high.

When asked whether Cecilia had breached many endorsement contracts because of her pregnancy resulting in him having to film movies crazily to earn money for the family, Nicholas immediately denied it. He said, “I have never heard about this; I am her husband, how would I not know of something like this!” Asked whether he would allow Cecilia to resume her work, he expressed that if the director and script was suitable, and the male lead was not lecherous he would allow her to film. When talking about his wife, Nicholas suddenly revealed, “My wife is now in the hospital on an IV drip, she is now having high fever. I am really thankful to the organizers arranging my schedule such that I can rush back to Hong Kong to accompany her as soon as possible.” (to watch this footage please login into on.cc)

Later when Nicholas arrived in Hong Kong at 8 pm, he denied that Cecilia had been admitted into hospital when asked by reporters. He said, “No! She is at home! (Are you rushing back home to accompany her?) Yes!” After replying, he left hastily. When reporters phoned Deborah Lai and Patrick Tse, they expressed that they were not aware of this matter. Patrick said, “Cecilia is fine and is at home.”

Also, Deborah accepted an interview from a magazine yesterday. When asked whether Cecilia was feeling nervous now, Deborah laughed and said, “Everyone else seems to be more nervous than us, Cecilia is very obedient and listens to the doctor and me, all for the baby’s sake.” Talking about her good friend Lydia Sum’s illness, she said, “She is at the most torturing stage, she has increased her dosage of medicine to speed up her recovery and cannot eat many things, the weather is hot, so naturally she has lost weight.” As for Cecilia having a fever, gynecologist Yu Kai Man expressed that it is dangerous for a pregnant lady to have fever, and the fever may also affect the baby.

Conceived in October's Hong Kong female artist Cecilia Cheung, expected due date was next week, Cecilia's stomach sudden stomach pains last night rushed to the hospital for childbirth, at 9:45pm on the 2nd, Cecilia Cheung Caesarean section, giving birth to baby boy weighing 3.1kg, both mother and baby were safe.

"Nicholas-Cecilia Love"'s love crystal was finally born, original expected date was next week's little nicholas, couldn't wait and on 9:45pm on the 2nd reported early, meeting the couple's first child, excited is not only Nicholas Tse, the whole family including the media have been waiting at the hospital entrance, and waited to share this silver couples' parenting joy.

Cecilia Cheung's Caesarean section giving birth to 3.1 kg baby, and both mother and son safe, making everyone very excited, in fact, ever since the burst of the pregnancy news, Cecilia Cheung concentrated on staying home being a housewife, rarely appearing on screen, and the very considerate Nicholas Tse also started to take on the family, when in delight being the man flying everywhere still not complains, not expecting baby boy will arrive early, Cecilia Cheung on the night of the 1st experienced pain, making the father to be, Nicholas, very nervous, having to bring her to Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital late night to give birth.

Today not only the son is born, Cecilia also successfully sold her property in Hong Kong, earning 21.6 million NT dollars (that's 5 million HKD), can say its a double celebration, it seems little nicholas's birth, has already helped bring the family luck, and even having his own milk money ready.

Mr Bean Holiday(UK Movie 2007)

He and Stepan finally hitch a ride with the young and vivacious actress Sabine who is heading to Cannes to attend the premiere of Clay's film, in which she appears. After Bean sneaks into the showing, his camcorder images are destined to enliven the proceedings.

Opinions:
My mother secretly bought Mr Bean Holiday R3 dvd(manufactured in Singapore) and show me a plastic bag with store name logo, Laserflair. She asked me to make a guess what is inside the bag. I made no hesitation saying that she had bought Mr Bean Holiday dvd. Volia. I am spot on. Having good relationship with my mother enable to know her inside and outside without any questions. I do not need to ask question to find out and the answer is already there for me to see. Similiarly, i will like to do the same for my future wife.

It is average Mr Bean movie now. I think Mr Bean tv drama is much more funnier. The day is already gone. It is about time to stop the Mr Bean franchise before it get stale in no time.
