Trip to Boston (Day 6 of US Trip)

I planned to take return trip to Boston, MA by Amtrak for a day. It is because I want to see how MIT, Harvard University, and Harvard Business School look like.

I woke up very early so that I can get to Penn Station at Manhattan, NY to take morning Amtrak ride.

This above pictures were when I was on morning Amtrak ride. It was fun to see interesting landscapes in USA because there is not much to see landscapes in Singapore.

Finally, I reached Boston. The above picture is what I came out of Amtrak Station. However, someone, who also took the same Amtrak train as me, asked me the direction for Charlestown (that is if I heard correctly). Embarrassingly, I couldn't answer because I never been there and was planning to visit there after exploring aforementioned schools.

As per above pictures, I had to pass by the row of houses so that I can cross the Harvard Bridge towards MIT.

I took this picture when I am on Harvard Bridge. I am getting close to MIT campus.

I am in the area of MIT campus. Inside the campus, it was very lively environment whereby students were busy with their laptops or talking with their mates.

After lunch at MIT, I had 1 hour walk towards Harvard University.

Finally, I found Harvard school. It is less dense compared to what I saw at MIT campus. Moving on, I had crossed Anderson Memorial Bridge to explore Harvard Business School.

From my Asian perspective, I was surprised to learn that the houses, not in any pictures, were used as classroom if I am not wrong.

Being satisfied, I decide not to visit Charlestown area as I wanted to have enough leg rest before returning back to Amtrak station.

On the way back to Amtrak station after early dinner, I had time to look the surroundings, some of which were taken in the pictures. I took evening Amtrak train back to Manhattan, NY, USA.

One whole day spent on Boston, MA. Very interesting.

The next blog entry will cover Washington, D.C., USA.
