Day 39 of Overseas Trip 2016

On Day 39, I woke up in late morning. I had a good rest. The picture on the left depicted where I walked towards highly populated area for lunch.
After lunch, I went to Lowell Observatory. I always love seeing planets. I went there in hope to see one on telescope.

I realised that there is some doubt to see one on such weather at night.

I toured there for good 2 - 3 hours. It was interesting to learn new information about planets.

Day 37  and Day 38 of Overseas Trip 2016

I arrived Flagstaff, AZ at night of Day 36. I had a take out dinner from McDonalds in the Hotel. On the next day morning (Day 37), I wait for the shuttle van that I booked for my trip to Grand Canyon National Park.

It is where I was dropped nearby. I was so excited to leave my bag to the storage at the accommodation place I book for 1 night stay.

I studied the map to understand how I should start.
Therefore, I started hiking the rim trail. The starting point is Bright Angel area to Hermit Rest. It took me about 3-4 hours to complete.

At Hermit Rest, I took a bus that ply on 'red' route. I had to transfer to another bus that ply on 'blue' route. It is because it brings me to Grand Canyon Vistor Centre. At Grand Canyon Visitor Centre, I need to transfer to another bus that ply on 'yellow' route. Finally, I reached Yaki Point. Being eager to cover as much as I can, I went to South Kaibab Trailhead. I feel good and energetic. I walked to Mather Point. I took the two buses back to my accommodation.

After a dinner, I went to sleep early in hope to catch the sunrise!

I was there at 5am, waiting for the sunrise. I was surprised a large group of Japanese joined us to observe sunrise.

On the way back to accommodation, I spot wild deer eating leaves. It is my first sighting of large wild animal at Grand Canyon.

When I am already at accommodation, I re-sleep again in the morning - I need some mind rest.

I woke up in the late morning. I realized that it was snowing slightly. It is my first time to see snow!

I have a lot of hours to burn. Therefore, I hiked a slightly difficult route, Bright Angel Trail - it is descending the mountain.

I limit myself to do 3 hours hiking. After that, I have enough time to eat lunch and dinner in one shot before I return back to Flagstaff, AZ.

Day 36 of Overseas Trip 2016

I took greyhound bus at Los Angeles. It is about two days road trip. You will know where my final stop was at.

The above picture is my pride as I was able to capture modern windmills like that. 2 years ago, I saw them at evening but I failed to capture due to lack of light environment.
