Well, you can see the chit chat column. One say my english has improved. the other say i need to brush my english. It show that my standard of English has been fluctuating.

It is no doubt. i had a fair share getting myself battered verbally online by working professional guy. I was told that he graduated from Chicago Business School with PhD and Master. What happened? Simply to say, i wrote amateur economics history and there is slightly misdirected information there as what he said.

Therefore, i will start writing indirect and short sentences. They will be much easier to understand. I have greatly realised after reading from him and from the UOL guide book. To improve your own standard of learning, you need a lot of patience to conquer your biggest difficult challenge.

I am proud to hear that Cherlyn has conquered her tax paper. Meanwhile for those who are struggling, you have to keep on trying. If my former DMS classmate, Benny can pass Business Law with sub-standard english, people who are very fluent in English and failed Business Law few months ago need to reflect on themselves. From what i know, DMS is taking its break now which means the main examination is over.

I am quite surprised that Benny told me that his english has deproved. Yet, he is in one of the toughest undergraduate course. For DMS 15th intake students, i wonder if they are struggling or not.

As for now, i know about local happening as much as i can but i am so 'green' when come to international stuffs. You won't believe how the foreginers treat you in business world. I am quite surprised because i haven't experienced before with Americans and UK. But then that was only when i deal with them as consumer myself. I happen to read that a local guy has a problem with dealing with American and German.
I will probably understand if i work there.

Awww, i am practically studying everything every day. So much things to learn and yet they are so interesting.

I wanted to write something interesting but i decided to postpone until i am ready to write it in full detail. As for now, i want to say that we,Singaporeans living in Singapore are only on 'page 1 of the thick book'. Yet the ones who work oveseas like in US or UK are on the 3/4 of pages of the thick book. Sigh, it made me more determined to work overseas. It gotta be harsher over there if I do work overseas. I never forget how Soros suffer.

My blog entry will be in 2nd week of December. It will be about life.

Finally, i can take few hours break to write this blog entry just for today. As per i mentioned in the last blog entry, i will be writing about charity and then comment simultaneously together with simple analogies on what Kenny spoke in the message column. i wish i have more time to draw diagrams but i will try to do that one day.

Charity..Do you really think that giving small amount of money for charity show(or such kind of charity movement done publicity) solve the problem? The answer prior to this question can be quite ambigious. For short-term measure, it will ease as much as the fund can have and use the available portion of the money.
Thin again..In the role of economics, the biggest point that make economics work nicely is scarity. Money is in the kind of scarcity where you have limited amount of money to have and then spend. You can't even print the money or you can't even slash operating expenses to $1 per expense.

Fact: There are fixed amount of Singapore Currency dollars that are stored mostly in Singapore and probably in overseas. If you have remebered the history of World War 2 occured in Singapore.

Let go back there before i get back to charity topic. My point of writing here is to get the idea rather than staring my opinion without getting any faintest idea. In attempt to flog Japanese natonalism In Singapore, Japanese tried to use 'banana' dollars as a legal tender currency in SG. Japanese printed and printed so much that inflation hit. It was so bad that people living in Singapore have to resort to black market to get necessity. It is one prime empirical evidence that countries need to be prudence when printing the certain amount of money in the hands of supply and demand forces.

Now you know how serious it is. Scarcity still prevail in your money pocket unless you have unlimited stream flow of money coming to you that is independent from possible economics change and bad scenarios like 911.

Back to charity, in long term run, it won't work. needy people will carry on begging and charity organisation will keep on asking donation again and again. When is enough? Not even a day! It is hardly effective moment to put a full stop on this common problem.

I believed I did scribbled abit about my idea in past few blog entries. Now, i want to underline the idea i am toying. But i have no idea if it is really feasible.
Charity institutions need not to close down and donations that are obviously short-term one also need not to be stopped at once. In term of my amateur Macro point of view, I am thinking of 'two stones kill one bird' idea. Government need to spend money to retain needy and handicapped people to do work with maximum productivity and ensure that they get the proper jobs that are designed based on the retaining programs. Such this movement will somehow contribute to economy and at the same time they will have fixed income. That is one channel which is fixed one for them and another channel that is unfixed where the money or food ration will be given by charity institutions. With two channels, it is very obvious that they will be better off. There is no need to beg for money or sell tissue or play music in the street. By doing this, it will effective bring unfixed income because it can vary by a lot depending on the weather, flow of human traffic and etc.

The reason why i think charity institutions should not be closed is that it is very effective measure when come to people who have sudden need for help. For example, your father suddenly need operation and your whole saving is enough to cover operation expenses. But, he need to be in hospital to recuperate after successful operation. CPF subsidy and your measly income are not going to cut in very nicely and that is where you come in to these charity institutions.

End of the charity topic. Actually, i am more supportive with such fund movements to fund people who want to study with no string attached. I know Soros Fund foundation has done this before in various countries with little success. But still a lot of students who were funded by this foundation managed to learn something interesting. Given the chance, in imagination, if Soros fund foundation were to come to Singapore to do such operation, i will be the first person to apply and study overseas with any monetary worries.I am very keen to write interesting thesis or research for new theory to replace inconsistent theories that are taught in many schools today. In realistally, the chance is zero because Singapore is not some third-world country or a country with such potential. As you know you don't see any Singaporean winning nobel prize in economics.

Now, i touch the last topic. In class, i may be withdrawn and quiet. It is true because i want to spend time on understanding the topic of the subject wholeheartedly. I don't really mind talking someone during break or after school but the conversation must be worthwhile. I don't like the idea of hearing someone cmmenting like 'chim'(hokkien form for difficult to understand) or "oh i see"(it spell that the person do not know what to answer or get the message across).
Suliana is someone i like to talk because she know the stuff and can tell me her point of view or give little and yet gentle arguement(once a blue moon). That is the real deal. I figured that i am beter off learning and understanding interesting things from books.

Granted that it is ok to talk all kind of things..Come to think of that, it is ultimate boring to repeat over again and again to one person to another in different day. These kind of conversation should be done in minimally.

Kenny, when i was young,I used to talk a lot of soccer stuffs with my primary and secondary school classmates because there are a lot of topic i can talk. Soccer stuffs from tactics, soccer skill, how to kick and etc. Since back then, i did so many kind of things. But now, i know each consequence of each action. I see no point hanging for too much free time when i have future to consider. i already wasted alot of time before i resume my own studies. For you, you may not know how serious the situation is. It is ok. When you reach that certain point, you will understand. i assume myself as in the blog entry which is opposite of the nature you are seeing during DMS days? I cannot change your perception unless you spend more time knowing me. Actually, it is no stand that derive from what we heard from Mr Ram many times. I wrote it based on my thinking that shaped by economics and political science.I don't expect my thinking which i wrote on past blog entry to be 100% conrrect. I have long way to learn. I always told my friend not to assume too much from what you see now. i just want tell you gently that you should not assume about me that way as well. i also don't want to develop my perception or assumption about you because i don't even know you well enough. To have better idea of what i meant..Kenny, you tell me what you know about the chair i am sitting now.

End of topic..Let look at view of what i saw. I noticed that there is a man who is old enough to be my father. He is always there in the library every day without fail from morning to evening. I am not sure if he is there. I was in awe as i can see that he is studying while doing project on his laptop. Amazing. I gave a serious thought and then i decide to learn from him by going to library after class every day. Practically, If the class is held 8.30 till 11.30, i would go to library after lunch from, let say, 12.30pm till 7pm or 8pm. Likewise if the class start at 3.30pm-6.30pm, i will go to SIM library for 9am to 3pm. If i have energy, i will go to library again after 3.30-6.30 class until 9pm.

I realised that i learnt a lot of things while studying in the library than be at home. Too many distraction at home but nothing to be distracted at SIM library. WOW! By then, i already knew which secton the book is(e.g. economics textbook in code no 330) I will keep on doing it until mock exam.

Last few weeks ago, i went to study room that is siutated in 3rd floor just beside the discussion room. I saw a blonde western lady dicussing with her project group. Woah, she is really stunner. I never knew but given the chance, i will want to know her.I wonder what course she is taking. From the discussion i overheard, it is pure education stuff as if they are going to be teachers. Going by probabilities on the courses, the chance of them studying in unisim is pretty high. But then that is unconfirmed assumption with pure prediction and guessing. i tell you..it is really long time i last heard western female voice in live. The last i heard if from my primary school classmate who came from New Zealand. The voice texture is very similar in comparison between unknown lady and my classmate. I wonder when i can see her again? Although my schedule is not that heretic but i make myself ultra busy on studies even though there is no exam or test TODAY or TOMORROW OR NEXT WEEK.

Few months in UOL program..I find that there are a lot of pretty local girls in my Corporate Finance class. surprisingly it is held on every Saturday. I thought pretty girls would probably choose to attend lesson on weekdays. In weekdays, in POA,PBF and Micro class, i see a lot of foreginers. I am really sick of sitting alone because they come with a gang of friends they already know since they are the same nationalities. Given the choice, i rather sit with Ruo Nan, Benny and Pingwei and talk! Screw the gang foreign movement. To be fair, i never consult with them and I just want to make my life hard and tough to make sure that I realise my promise.
i asked around and i found that people also have hard time to making friends. i tried to make some but one is pretty quiet. Nothing i can do but i did make friend with two interesting guys from Micro class. Best of all, they talk about Micro.

There is one pretty local girl among them in CF class. She really entice me but i don't really believe in making friend with her right away to make it very purposely and don't pay attention in the class. I won't do it because it certainly lower my level of utility. I always pay attention in the class seriously In all 4 subjects.

Just now I went to Baikohken resturant. It is 100% authetic japanese ramen resturant. Last time, there were two women manning the counter and nothing particular. But just now, there were no women and just men who are in charge of cooking. The moment i step in, they greet me with big weclome saying in Japanese. Yeah, i am quite aware of this culture. For those who are not familiar, they will be in surprise. Later on, few Japanese judging from their accent and facial shapecame in and order foods. i sat there eating ramen while listening cookers speaking in Japanese. Agitama(japanese egg) is fantastic. It is my first time to eat it because I decide to buy it as a topping for my ramen. I paid $12.85 and i am satisfied. Japanese cooker who manned the cashier bade goodbye to me in Japanese. It really does feel like as if i am in Japan.

The next blog entry is probably posted by the first week of December. Because i need to understand how to draw and write Micro's The Firm and Market.

Joongcheon (The Restless)(Korean Movie 2006)

Then one day, YI Kwak drifts into Joongcheon, the world of the dead through a strange shrine. Joongcheon, the intermediate world between Heaven and Earth, a place souls remain for 49 days, preparing for reincarnation.

Opinion:
Not too bad fantasy-genre movie.Wah, i think this female actress Kim Tae Hee is going to be one of the biggest stars in near future. Although i have seen her couple of times in various dramas, i never knew that she did fantastic job making her crying look so realistic. Her vocial tone is pretty good and sometimes pleasing to my ears.

Rating:6/10
Bonus:1)One mark above 5 mark is awarded to excellent acting by Kim Tae Hee

건빵선생과 별사탕(Geonbbangseonsaengkwa Byeolsatang)(Hello My Teacher)(Korean Drama 2005)
Synopsis:
Na Bori (Gong Hyo Jin) is a 25 year old woman who desperately wants to be a teacher at the high school she was kicked out of due misunderstanding with her teachers over injuring a group of male classmates. After getting her GED, she rejects job offers from other high schools and works on becoming a teacher at her old high school so she could work side by side with her high school love interest, the art teacher Ji Hyun Woo (Kim Da Hyun). However, the only thing that enables her to get the coveted job is by signing a contract to essentially babysit Park Tae In (Gong Yoo), a troublemaker who attends the same high school. Tae In, a lonely youth, quickly becomes the "jjang", or "king" of the high school, and enjoys playing mean tricks on Bori. Noh Jemma (Choi Yeo Jin) is jealous of the relationship between Bori and Tae In, and goes out of her way to get Bori kicked out

Opinions:
It is pretty good drama. Bori wasn't the prettiest or stunning lady if you cmpare them with other korean female actresses. But she has the x-factor look making herself attractive.Hmm, I did a further background check on her. OMG, i didn't recognise her from another korean drama "Sang Do, Let go to school". I did see that drama ss well and she look tad different in 'Hello My Teacher' in comparison to 'Sang Do Let Go to school'. Korean actresses tried to shape their look to tailor for their acting characters? If it is true, i am in awe because I find Mediacorp actresses too similar from one drama to another.

Rating:8/10
Bonuses:1)Nice chemistry between male and female lead character 2)Na Bori is interesting character to watch 3)Once you start, you are hooked. Enough said.
