My reply to j
I wrote all different pieces of my thoughts that are not related to one another in blog entry dated 6 September 2008. That was my intention. It explains my sick incoherence

My grip on grammar is quite poor. It happened when I completed primary school education. All the time, I communicated singlish and broken English
with my mother, local and foreigners. There is not much opportunity to watch my own grammar. I am still trying to figure out my bad habit of writing.

The pictures of books I read are merely decoration. My purpose to write my blog entry is to write my thoughts. My primary aim to read books is to get as many information as I can. I experienced one thing that encourage me to read many books.
When I was studying Microeconomics, I noticed that some Microeconomics textbooks have their own ways to explain one same concept (although they arrived the same conclusion). One textbook out of these textbooks used one diagram that is the excellent explanation. Surprisingly, the other textbooks do not use that diagram. We are at the risk of missing valuable information when we don't read other books for cross referencing purpose.I gained a lot of insights from this. This year, I am studying Macroeconomics. As usual, I see 3 different explanations made by 3 different Macroeconomics authors for Neo-Classical model of investment. I have seen enough missing information in other textbooks.

I do not think that there is a strong correlation between the number of books one read and the number of the score one get for examination.

Each time I write blog entry, I do not proofread it due to time constraint. It is very easy to see my English weaknesses.

Updated:Additional replies to j
End of the day, all textbooks have so many different degree of coverage on every topic. There is not any one book for one subject that really cover entire concepts.
You have missed this point or you do not know. I find your comment about textbook unjustified.

My comments on 'The Elements of Style' book
After I wrote the previous blog entry, I was searching any information on how to identify and improve my English writing. I decided to check Mankiw's blog. Mankiw is good economist who is willing to write Macroeconomics in layman term. His writing is very clear and easy-to-understand. His advise on how to write good English is just great for me. I decide to read two books Mankiw recommends. The two books are 'the elements of style' and 'on writing well'. As of now, I had read the 'The Elements of Style' and I am, at the moment, reading 'On Writing Well' book.

'The Elements of Style' exposed most of my bad writing habits. I am convinced about what kind of writing style I should be writing. I think I need to re-read it until I remember my own bad writing habits.

I get some inspiration from Ironman movie
Few weeks ago, I watched Ironman movie. I watched Tony Stark making interesting items that other engineers cannot do. Tony Stark's brilliant inventions gave me a lot of inspiration on what I want to think towards accounting-related finance. I think I will be focusing on financial statement analysis. Financial Economics will be my entertainment to read during my free time.

My intention of next blog entry
I want to write about sub-prime crisis with few concepts coming from Macroeconomics, Banking, and Microeconomics. I read a number of opinions about sub-prime crisis and banking industry. I am quite horrified that their opinions are fine but biased. I feel that they are missing something. I am not sure when I will be able to post the next blog entry. At the moment, I have been doing a lot of reading, and doing tutorial questions.

Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion(Japanese Anime Movie 2008)
Synopsis extracted from wikipedia.org:
An artifact known as the "King's Seal" is stolen during transport from Soul Society by an unidentified Soul Reaper and two arrancar girls who control fire and lightning. Tōshirō Hitsugaya seems to recognize the Soul Reaper, who stabs him in the stomach, and abandons his post to pursue him. Seireitei suspects him of treason and orders his immediate capture, with the possibility of disbanding the 10th Division should he be guilty.

Tōshirō is found unconscious by Ichigo, who knows that Soul Society is looking for him. Tōshirō refuses to explain what's happening, but Ichigo is attacked by the two arrancar before he can force the issue. Tōshirō continues to avoid capture, and things only look worse when the Soul Reaper thief, identified as Sōjirō Kusaka uses Hitsugaya's Hyōrinmaru to injure Shunsui Kyōraku. Tōshirō's capture is made top priority, and his execution is approved if he resists.

Meanwhile, back in the world of the living, Rukia has caught with Ichigo. The gang exchange information, and Rukia reveals rather surprising, in depth knowledge of Hitsugaya's personality, as well as some rather accurate guesses as to what Hitsugaya plans to do next. During the talk, Ichigo realizes what might be troubling Hitsugaya.

Tōshirō eventually manages to track Sōjirō down, where it is revealed that the two managed to manifest the same zanpakutō. Because this is a taboo in Soul Society, they were forced to fight to the death. Tōshirō did not wish to but accidentally froze Kusaka in the fight. It was decided that Tōshirō was winner while Sōjirō was apparently killed, only to reincarnate in Hueco Mundo. Seeking revenge on Soul Society, he stole the King's Seal, which allows the user to freely manipulate time, space, and matter within a small space. Using it, Sōjirō teleports Tōshirō and himself to Soul Society, needing the power of Tōshirō's bankai to break the seal. When Tōshirō refuses, Sōjirō breaks the seal himself, becoming a dragon made of ice. However, because he lacks the control Tōshirō possesses, the power goes berserk and threatens to destroy Soul Society. With much help, Ichigo and Tōshirō manage to destroy Sōjirō's dragon form. Returned to his regular form, Sōjirō and Tōshirō have one last clash, ending in Sōjirō's defeat. Tōshirō is cleared of all charges and the King's Seal is restored, allowing Tōshirō to finally put his past to rest.

6 years in love(Korean Movie 2008)
Synopsis extracted from lovehkfirm.com:
Romantic comedies are understandably very popular, as they canonize and encapsulate one of the very experiences that make life seem worthwhile: falling in love. However, after you've fallen in love, "What Now?" becomes the big question, and a movie subject with likely fewer fans than the masses that eat up Pretty Woman or Needing You. Korean romantic comedy-drama Lovers of Six Years fits firmly into the "What Now?" genre, advancing the "now" way past the initial blush of love and into a place where familiarity with your partner can become a right pain. At the same time, it dabbles in romantic comedy clichés and features a glossiness that makes its exploration of love's pitfalls seem gratuitous and even glib. There's truth and pain in Loves of 6 Years but also cute moments and some romantic comedy-style shenanigans. This is what's called having your cake and eating it too.

The Moonlight of Seoul(Korean Movie 2008)
Synopsis extracted from twitchfilm.net:
It’s a jungle of imported saloon cars and stylish designer brands, a zoo for Korea’s nouveau riche; the place to be if you want to wildly speculate on real estate, with schools possessing the kind of clout that would get a shiny tag on your son’s curriculum vitae saying “I’m part of the game now.” But Gangnam also means a wild night life, theoretically throwing discrimination out of the window with its par condicio of host bars for men and women, straight or gay. Seung-Woo (Yoon Gye-Sang) has been in the game for a mere three months, but is already relishing all the benefits, still unaware of the price he’ll eventually have to pay.

His daily sessions begin with putting the finishing touches on his backswing, some shopping and the customary trip to a health’s club, before embarking on a night spent giving cheap pleasure and getting quick money, a lot of it, in return. But Seung-Woo is not just your average mortal from north of the river, trying to make a buck and eventually opting out of the jungle. His past of a well-off family fallen into a crisis has become a present full of questions he can’t really answer. His father is now dating a younger woman, his sister has become a hostess just like him, and actually introduced him to the game through her boyfriend Jae-Hyeon (Ha Jung-Woo). And, of course, all the complexes his past created are starting to get the better of him.

Stylish, confident and free-spirited “Madam” (the hosts’ team manager, so to speak) at night; a volcano ready to erupt thanks to debts, a gambling bug and the gloomy prospect of getting your finger hit with a wrench by a loan shark by day, Jae-Hyeon only has his experience to thank. Prepping the 공사 (host-bar slang for conning money out of clients) that could save his bacon, his relationship with Han-Byeol (Lee Seung-Min) is getting increasingly tense, which inevitably influences how he deals with her brother Seung-Woo. They say never mix business with pleasure, but that’s exactly what these two players end up doing. Feeling disconnected and upset by the emptiness surrounding his nighttime romps, Seung-Woo finds solace in Ji-Won (Yoon Jin-Seo), a hostess herself, and the two start living together. Can the lines between business and personal get that blurred? Can anybody who sells fake sentiments and intimacy for a shower of white checks really keep a serious relationship? And can those animals trapped by the jungle really escape, and stare at the sky, to see what the moonlight really looks like?
