That stupid fatty Shu emperor easily taken in by this rumour as he quickly issue the edict to recall him.
In the result,Zhuge Liang had to recall his army back as he couldn't take his own instative to attack on his own and then come back because he know the importance of respecting the emperor.
His clever scheme went to naught!!
And another similar problem as he went on to send his army to attack Wei for another military Expendition.
Someone failed to send the rice gains to Shu and he created a fake eddict to say that Wu was going to attack Shu.
Zhuge Liang had no choice and he had withdraw.
Once again,his scheme was spoilt.
You can calculate the possbilities of winning and losing beforehand but the people around you will spoil your hard work.
It is one classic example.
It is sad for me to see brilliant people going down just because of one thing that pull everything down.
